New York on Broadway, what is the best hotel?

Me and my husband just celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time, now we are planning our fifth wedding anniversary, a big milestone for us, and were thinking about going to New York to see a show on broadway. Is this something you would recommend and if so what is the best hotel to stay in?

If you have the money, St. Regis or Waldorf Astoria. And then you have the Marriot and Sheraton, which are also excellent hotels.
