Waldorf Astoria.how much would it cost?
Chel asked:
I have to plan my ideal wedding for a class and first thought of getting married at the westminster abbey but I think that is only for royality. My next choice was on top of the golden gate bridge but I am sure you can’t do that either. So next it would be the Waldorf Astoria but I can not find how much it would cost to rent where you would have the wedding and the ballroom. We have to include prices so in the end you have a grand total. I am running out of ideas!
Does anyone know like an estimate of how much a wedding would cost at the Waldorf Astoria in park avenue new york?
Please dont just make up a number, this is a major project for the class and if all else fails, I guess I will have to call the hotel but I thought I would see if anyone knew or heard of an amount first.
Any help is awesome, thanks!!

It depends on the day of the week, what you want them to include and what type of food, beverage, etc.
You are going to have to call and check it out.
Good luck, a wedding like that could cost over $100,000, so it would be hugely expensive.
I hope you get an “A”!!!
Why don’t you try contacting them directly and speaking to a Sales Person. Rates and availability can vary so its best to speak to an expert.
I recently checked out the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, CA, and their reception costs ranged from a minimum of $20,000 (for a room with max. 75 people) to a minimum of $65,000 (for the ballroom with max. 300 people). Since New York is more expensive than almost anywhere else, you are probably looking at a minimum of $100,000 if not more. Just for the food and drinks of the reception.
I would imagine that minimums would start around $100,000 but realistically your looking to spend atleast 200K-1M
Unless you have the budget of Puff Daddy, forget it. It will set you back at least a couple of hundred thousand. Seriously, that is why only upper class of NY and the famous are married there. Most likely if they do not feel that you are actually calling to book a real wedding, they will not even return your call. I would say that your plan is for an ideal wedding….make it ideal, not fantasy. There is a difference.
