why not, its fun..
My husband and I had a much ’smaller’ wedding party, but we got married on a boat … a state ferry in the state of Washington. I guess that your wedding will be happening ’soon after’ you first move to Georgia, since you are already planning it. Call the phone company in N.Y. and ask them to send you the phone books (especially the yellow pages) for the city in Georgia you want to get married in. Look under ‘boats for rent’ and call or write to them and ask the price for doing a wedding for 100 people (I hope that includes the minister, too … not all ‘captains’ have the right to legally marry anyone, and it must be done in ‘international waters’). Also ask if they can send you ‘pictures’ of the boat if they have them. Most people who ‘rent’ their boats are really nice, and most LOVE doing weddings, and the prices are reasonable compared to doing it on land … good luck.

Hey here is a great idea. Cotact the company that owns the Delta Queen the Big River boat. The trips are rather expensive but ou can always tell folks you were married on the Delta Queen. And get this the Captain of the ship can do the ceremony it will be perfectly legal. Hey bestwishes to you ok.
Check out South St. Seaport in NYC if you still haven’t moved by the time of the wedding.
I would suggest calling the chamber of commerce in the nearest city/town that you choose. Then allow time for them to give you listings, numbers, and choices. They also have the phone numbers for area caters,florist, limos, and the person you decide to marry you.
