Colors for wedding- March 1st in South Texas?
Kristi S asked:
Ok, I have asked this question before, sort of. I have a few things in maroon, black and ivory BUT not enough not to change my colors. I need suggestions since I am having 2nd thoughts on these colors. Ok, we are planning on 1 March in South Texas…. all help is appreciated! Colors, flowers… etc… I would like to include ivory instead of white no matter what. My fiancee will be wearing a black cowboy hat and jacket, but that can just be a small accent color, I need help with the major colors!

Spring colors are good for that time of year…maybe pinks, light green, some yellow, but nothing too bright. Stargazer lilies would work well with all those colors, so pretty and they smell good too!
Hey, i work in tuxedo shop. we do alot of weddings. I love the colors u chose. i have seen something similar. i would go with ivory shirts and black vests with maroon ties/bow ties. or vis versa maroon vests and black ties/bow ties. then you could have ur bridesmaids in ivory with maroon bows and or flowers or in maroon with ivory bows. GOOD LUCK!!!!!
I would go with Maroon and ivory because those colors go very well together!
I’m thinking cream and fuscha - fuscha being a purple/deep red shade, it could be cool. you know, girls more pinky, puple - guy’s more scarlet/red.
A thought.
yellow not ugly yellow but like a deep golden yellow.
These colors sound nice together. You have to do what you and your to be husband are wanting, don’t let anyone else try to tell you otherwise. Ivory and black are very classy. You could use maroon or any deep red or just a classic red as small accent color a few in the flowers and in the center pieces. Just a touch here and there. Good Luck and Best Wishes!
Ivory, Medium Yellow
my colors are going to be lavender and white. I wouldnt use maroon, that is more of a winter/fall color. black with an accent color would be pretty, but if its march 1st you need to think bright spring colors. my will be april 5th next year. you just need to look at what time of year it is an look at the colors that go with that season.
please don’t do maroon for your’e wedding! the colors with the outfit would make the guys look like they work at a movie theatre! please please you are going to remember your wedding forever! us subtile colors like blues or lights purples.
Red, ivory, sage, brushed gold and black. These are the colors your wedding should be in. The reason is, the season. The color for the month of March is “RED” and this color symbolizes energy, excitement, strength and power. It is also the color of love as seen in the red Valentine’s Day heart and the color red is also associated with good fortune. Your bride’s maids and the maid of honor should wear stunning red dresses, the groom and the groom’s men in black tuxes and you in a most beautiful ivory dress. All of your flowers should represent all variations of reds, greens and ivory with brushed gold accessories.
I just moved from TX a year ago and I miss the TX Bue Bonnets being in bloom in early spring and having my kids pictures taken in the fields….I think that at this time of year using this color blue and incorporating the blue bonnets into your bouquet would be gorgeous! I think you should go with spring colors if you’re not set on the ones you have! Pale yellow, blues, and ivory would be very pretty! And just imagine the pictures….I know the blue bonnets are every where you go!!!
Sage Green, Cream, and Yellow. I hope that I helped you out.
Best Wishes.
don’t go with dark colors honey! this should be one of the happiest days of your life! Lighten up! ha ha! (good pun) why not go with spring green, or pale pink, or watery blue? why not early dawn yellow? do you really want black at your wedding? or brownish mahogany? you could do better than that sweetie. just remember that whatever you pick will be in your wedding pictures and you won’t be able to change that once it’s done.
I wish you good luck! I’m sure everything will be perfect!
