I am planning a wedding for next May and have started to scout out places. I think I would like it to have an outdoors area, ie: not just in some hotel, but then again I don’t want the entire wedding outside in the Texas heat. Obviously I am still trying to figure out what I want, so ANY help you can offer would be appreciated!
I was hoping more for people who have actually been to weddings in Houston and could personally attest to a particular place. I can just as easily google “houston wedding locations” as you can. Please do not answer with a broad link to a wedding site. I am aware of the places available, but I want to to know if you’ve been there and how it was. Thanks.

I’ve been to a couple of weddings at Shirley Acres in North Houston. They do lovely outdoor weddings followed by indoor receptions in a pretty space.

Like I said before, I have actually attended weddings at Shirley Acres. They have a couple of different facilities, and one is a pretty garden for outside weddings. After the ceremony, you can have the reception inside their other facility. They have a website, but it seems to not be working right now. You can try the link below instead for a few photos.
